Responsible Business & Social Practices

Sydney Office Clearance is building a responsible commercial office exit business with clear expectations for the people and providers involved in our work.

We are a small Sydney business and currently have no employees. Our current workforce practices relate mainly to the clearance delivery partners, trades and service providers we engage for projects.

This page explains our current practices and the areas we plan to formalise as the business grows.

Delivery Model

Our Workforce Approach

Sydney Office Clearance currently has no employees.

Our delivery model uses independent clearance delivery partners and trade providers where required for agreed project work.

Sydney Office Clearance remains the client's main point of contact for scope, scheduling, access coordination, communication and completion records. Delivery partners and trades control their own crews, tools, work methods and the physical performance of their work.

Our approach is to build reliable long-term relationships with suitable providers rather than treating every project as a one-off transaction.

Current Workforce & Provider Practices:
  • clear project scopes and role boundaries
  • clear communication about access and scheduling
  • preference for appropriately experienced providers for the work being performed
  • collection of relevant insurance or building-access information where required
  • communication of client and building requirements before attendance where available
  • feedback after projects where appropriate
  • continued relationships with providers that demonstrate reliability, communication and suitable delivery
Operational Reality

Single Commercial Coordination Point

Sydney Office Clearance oversees the agreed scope, loading dock bookings and project timing, while delivery partners bring experienced commercial transport crews to perform the physical clearout safely.

Roadmap

Our 6-Month Workforce Development Plan

As the delivery network grows, we plan to make our provider-management process more structured.

November to December 2026

Formalise Provider Onboarding

Create a consistent onboarding checklist for clearance delivery partners and trade providers covering service scope, contact information, insurance documentation where relevant, building-access requirements, role boundaries and project communication.

January to February 2027

Introduce Provider Feedback and Performance Records

Develop a simple internal record for completed projects covering reliability, communication, scope delivery, documentation and client feedback where available.

March to April 2027

Develop the Preferred Provider Network

Use project experience and documented performance to strengthen relationships with reliable providers for future Sydney office exit projects.

These are planned improvements. They should not be interpreted as programs that have already been fully implemented.

Ethical Standards

Human Rights & Responsible Labour

Sydney Office Clearance does not support forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, child labour or other forms of modern slavery or serious worker exploitation.

We expect the independent providers and suppliers we engage to comply with applicable Australian laws relating to work, safety, discrimination, wages, human rights and lawful employment arrangements that apply to them.

We do not knowingly engage a provider where we are aware of serious labour exploitation or modern slavery practices.

If a credible concern is identified, Sydney Office Clearance will review the relationship and determine an appropriate response based on the circumstances.

Statutory Scope Clarification

Sydney Office Clearance is not representing this page as a statutory Modern Slavery Statement or as a modern slavery certification.

Risk Awareness

Modern Slavery Risk Awareness

As a small business, our current supply chain is relatively simple, but we recognise that responsible procurement becomes more important as a business and its supplier network grow.

Our planned approach is to improve the information we hold about key delivery partners and suppliers and to consider labour and human-rights concerns where a credible risk becomes known.

We intend to review this approach as the business, supplier network and regulatory requirements change.

Community Pathways

Community Involvement

Our main planned community initiative is connected directly to the work we already perform.

Commercial office exits can involve desks, chairs, tables, storage and other furniture that may still have useful life.

Sydney Office Clearance is working to develop relationships with Sydney charities, community organisations and reuse channels that may be able to receive suitable office furniture where practical.

Our aim is to create more opportunities for suitable furniture to remain in use before disposal is considered.

We are currently building these relationships. We do not claim that a formal charity network is already established.

Donation is never guaranteed. It depends on furniture condition, recipient demand, quantity, transport requirements, available time and the recipient organisation's capacity.

Community Milestones

Our Community Roadmap

November to December 2026

Identify Potential Community Partners

Contact suitable Sydney charities, community organisations and reuse groups to understand what commercial furniture they may be able to accept.

January to February 2027

Pilot Furniture Donation Pathways

Where suitable office clearance projects arise and a recipient is available, test practical donation and reuse arrangements and retain reasonable records of the outcome.

March to April 2027

Review and Improve

Review what worked, which types of furniture were practical to place, and what logistical limitations affected donation or reuse.

Where supported by records, publish factual examples or results.

These are planned actions and not guaranteed outcomes.

Factual Disclosure

Environmental & Social Transparency

Sydney Office Clearance aims to keep its environmental and social claims factual and capable of being supported.

We separate current practices from future plans and do not publish environmental or social performance figures unless we have records that support them.

Public Disclosure Card

Environmental and Social Controversies

As at 28 October 2026, Sydney Office Clearance is not aware of any environmental or social controversy or lawsuit involving the business.

This is a dated factual disclosure, not a guarantee about future events. We will update this statement if a material change makes it inaccurate.

Governance Timeline

Policy Development & Review

This is an early-stage responsible business policy and will develop as Sydney Office Clearance grows.

Our first formal review is planned for April 2027 following the initial six-month implementation period.

After that review, we intend to determine an appropriate ongoing review cycle based on the size and complexity of the business.
